I started working out with Louie after receiving rave reviews from a friend who had been training with him for months. What I loved was that his workouts were intense yet very focused on not doing “too much too fast.”

We decided I needed a good six months before my May 2012 wedding to reach my goal weight and body shape. I became stronger and fitter than I have ever been in my life. Louie changes up my workout everyday I train with him which keeps it fun and interesting.

On the big day, I looked toned, trim, and tight! I hit my goal weight! I couldn’t have done it without Louie pushing me and encouraging me all along the way. Louie also acted as a nutritionist to me and has taught me a lot about the human body, how food is metabolized and how certain foods can work for and against your body.

From Skinny Wannabe Fit Goddess to Miss Harlem 2012, Louie Antuna was truly God-sent on my journey to becoming a beauty-fit contender for Miss New York 2012. Before my journey into the world of fitness I hadn’t stepped foot into a gym in years. The reality is that I hate to work out.

The second someone referred me to Louie I had a life-altering experience for the better. His master plan of fitness truly works for the on-the-go New Yorker. He not only listened to my needs/goals but created a plan that fit with my hectic schedule.

I built up my stamina for running. I became a lean-mean fighting machine with his weekly text messages and the occasional phone call, ensuring I was in the gym doing my homework. He gave me a nutrition plan that gave me loads of energy.

When you have a fun-loving trainer who truly cares about your journey it makes life a lot easier, and most importantly gave me the ammunition I needed to continue down a path of true fitness: mind, body and spirit. Thank you Louie!

I trained 2x a week, changed my diet per Louie’s suggestions, and lost 30 pounds in less than 5 months. Louie took the time to meet me at my office and walk around the area to show me what I could do to alter my lunch routine, using the restaurants and places around me. He showed me what to eat and educated me that certain foods I was eating weren’t necessarily bad, but it was HOW much of them I was eating that was hurting me.

I told Louie that hitting 220 was impossible. I had tried everything, always ate healthy and worked out 3-4x a week and I just figured I was not built to be thinner, I was meant to be a bigger guy…

In 5 months, I not only transformed my body into a weight and physical condition I have never been in my life before, but I hit my target weight of 220. Between boxing, weight training, creating an exercise routine, and eating a proper diet, everyone at my wedding couldn’t believe how great I looked. Louie’s dedication and expertise was a huge factor in my weight loss and I owe it all to him.

Louie is an excellent trainer who I could not recommend more highly. I started training with him before my wedding and continued afterwards due to all the positives he has brought into my life. When we started training almost a year ago I thought I was in shape, but with Louie’s guidance I have learned that being “in shape” means more than just appearing skinny.

Louie has taught, pushed, and empowered me to be the strongest and most capable version of myself. Through his tailored exercises that change each session (but always kick my ass), I have gained muscle and toned my body in ways I never thought possible. Thanks to Louie, I am stronger, more flexible, and have better balance.

But the best part about training with Louie is that his training encompasses so much more than just the physical aspect of becoming fit – with his extensive knowledge of the body, how muscles work together, and nutrition advice, he has improved my mental and emotional state as well.

He has recommended little tweaks to my diet that has increased my metabolism and energy levels and has generally made me more aware of the diet and food choices I make. And to top it all off, training with Louie is fun! He is energetic, personable, easy to talk to, and motivating. I could not praise him or his training more!

We first met Louie many months before our wedding. Louie came highly recommended from our cousin who worked out with him before her wedding. She was in incredible shape for her big day and we needed to know who she had worked out with so we would look our best for our wedding.

Louie is not just a personal trainer, he set us up to lead a healthy lifestyle and motivated us to work our hardest. He advised us on our diets and developed a program to maintain when we weren’t in the gym with him. When we went on vacation he gave us a program to do outside of the gym.

Louie encouraged, motivated and took a personal interest in our fitness. He even accompanied us to fitness classes outside of training with him. We absolutely enjoyed working out with him and we were both in peak physical and mental shape for the big day.

We knew that the wedding was not the end of our training with Louie, it was the beginning of a healthy lifestyle. Working with Louie is a pleasure, he is not just our personal trainer but has become our friend. We would recommend working with Louie to anyone who wants to take their health and fitness seriously while having a lot of fun working hard.

I started training with Louie around two and a half years ago. I noticed him training some other women in the building gym so finally decided to ask if he had room for more clients. Fortunately for me, he did. At that time, I exercised around 3 days a week (mainly cardio) and felt like I was in decent shape. Well I learned quickly that ‘decent’ was more like ‘fair’.

Louie evaluated my strengths and weaknesses (from a physical level), learned about my habits (good and bad) and very quickly we were in a routine. This routine did not begin and end in our two sessions each week. It continued multiple times a day as I shared with him my food intake and other cardio activity. We set reasonable goals early on. Louie was there every step of the way to help me achieve them. Yes, I had to do the work, but without his support there would have been no advancement.

After a few months I started to see tremendous change in my appearance (and pretty much became hooked on Louie). No, I did not have a lot of weight to lose but I did have some - and certainly had some muscle strength to gain. Louie worked with me not just on how much I was eating but what I was eating, and getting to the right mix of fat, protein and carbs. I am now so much more conscientious about what I eat (and drink). All thanks to Louie.

Louie became more than a trainer early on. To this day I describe him as my trainer/therapist (and friend). His easy going, warm personality made me feel like I could open up – and I did. Not only does Louie give me great advice on my physical wellbeing, he also gives me guidance on everything from dating to my career. And did I mention that we laugh too? A lot.

When I was offered a great job in the Bay area, one of the top items on the con list was leaving Louie. In my opinion, that says it all. Working with Louie has given me more confidence both from a physical and mental perspective. Invaluable, in my opinion. Thank you Louie. Thank you.
